Video editing has become a skill I've enjoyed on the side over the years. Initially beginning in 2014 after getting a copy of Sony Movie Studio for Christmas, I began use with editing Minecraft gameplay videos. I didn't get very far into the nitty gritty of editing until 2020 when I was offered the opportunity to edit a virtual campus tour video for Kent State University at Tuscarawas.
The below screenshots and their paired explanations represent the basics of the process taken for a recent video project for the campus. These projects show a glimpse of my detail-oriented workmanship.
First, we have the creation, editing, and uploading of the first draft.
Next, we have the follow-up editing after suggestions were made by supervision. These included scene cropping and replacement, overlay creation, intro and outro implementation, and adding music.
